Graced

In 9 Days

THANKSGIVING DAY

will arrive and so will

Traditions~

new & old

mixed with

new & old

Transitions.

The day will be spent with the same people who you have always celebrated

or with some new people that you have never met

or without some people who used to be here but now are no longer here.

A day of celebration and a day of remembrance.

Traditions & Transitions

are wrapped up in a Turkey who will show up with all of its friends

that will fill our bellies until we are ready to pop.

THANKSGIVING~

Gratitude

Appreciation

Praise

&

GRACE~

"do honor or credit to (someone or something) by one's presence"

Hmm.

To GRACE someone because of the presence of another

is a form of

THANKSGIVING.

GRACE~a prayer before a meal.

GRACE~a name of someone

GRACE~

Favor

Pleasure

&

Worth.

THANKSGIVING~

because of the ONE who has GRACED us ~

THANK YOU GOD for loving me even at my most unlovable self.

THANK YOU GOD for accepting me even when no one else seems to care.

THANK YOU GOD for being patient with me when impatience is my middle name

THANK YOU GOD for forgiving me when I can't even forgive myself.

THANK YOU GOD for ____________ even when I ___________.

You fill in the blank.

THANKSGIVING a time of giving back to the

ONE who

GRACED us

just because we didn't deserve it.

Journey with us over these 9 days before

THANKSGIVING

as we give

THANKS

because of the

GIFT OF GRACE

in every moment

in every emotion

in everything

just because

that is who

HE IS~

"For it is by grace [GOD'S remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to CHRIST]

that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life]

through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort],

but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of GOD;

not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law],

so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any

way [for HIS salvation] "(Ephesians 2:8-9)
