They came because they wanted to~
even though it was dark and cold.
They came because they knew
WHO
was going to be the
main guest.
Don't you go somewhere
because you choose to be there
whether it is a
a football game, a concert, a party, or a vacation?
They came because they knew
ONE PERSON
was the main guest
and they knew that when they left
that
ONE PERSON
would be going home with them
in a different way
because
when
JESUS is the main guest
you will never be the same.
Whether it is a small bible study
or a mega church
or 2 people meeting for coffee
when
JESUS is the main guest
it becomes
better
than a football game, concert, party or vacation
because
A PEACE that "transcends all understanding" (Philippians 4:7)
A HOPE that "renews your strength" (Isaiah 40:31)
A JOY that makes you "rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer "(Romans 12:12)
&
A LOVE that is "patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs" ( I Corinthians 13:4-5)

where
we gather
to
share our hearts openly
just because
we all showed up
in a little living room
on a cold Tuesday night
just because
JESUS
is the main guest
because
ONCE UPON A TIME
HE showed up in all of our hearts
filling us with
A PEACE
A HOPE
A JOY
&
LOVE
that will last a lifetime
beyond this lifetime
just because
we showed up.
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20)
Therefore~
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—
and all the more as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25).
