WHAT IF GOD
gave you everything that you asked for~
would you be satisfied?
Close your eyes and picture it~
your perfect life.
What would it look like?
What would you look like?
Where would you live?
Who would be with you?
What would you be doing?
Your perfect life.
What if GOD gave you everything that you asked for?
I just wrote a list of all of the answered prayers & blessings from
GOD~
and you know what~
I am ever so thankful
but you know what~
these answers are
never enough to change my heart
to fulfill me fully
as there is always this aching void in my heart
that desires so much more.
Is it~
More answered prayer? More perfection? More __________?
So what if GOD gave you everything that you asked for..
Would you be SATISFIED?
BUT WHAT IF GOD
gave you everything that you didn't even ask for
&
didn't even deserve~
Would you be SATISFIED?
Now that stings. Think about it.
As I go about my "half glass filled" days, just craving more of something to fill my cup,
I feel
GOD'S
gentle nudging to look up.
And I ignore
HIM
because I am too focused on what I don't have that I want to have.
And then
GOD
does the unthinkable,
HE
leaves me alone
& waits & waits & waits
as I continue to seek out the "perfect" something to fill my cup.
And then
GOD
does the unthinkable.
HE
gently calls my name
&
I question~
Is that you GOD? Are you calling little ole me?
I stand like a little girl waiting to be reprimanded ,
BUT instead
GOD does the unthinkable.
HE looks into my eyes that lead straight to my heart
&
HE does the unthinkable~
NOTHING.
HE just looks back into my eyes that lead straight to my heart,
as tears fill my eyes
as that is all HE has to do as all that is all I have to do is to
BE STILL~
and then, and only then
does my "half filled glass" become overfilled with so much of
HIM
that I am fully satisfied.
So WHAT IF GOD
gave you everything that you didn't even ask for & don't even deserve ~
Would you be SATISFIED~
"JESUS replied to them, “I am the Bread of Life. The one who comes to ME will never be hungry, and the one who believes in ME [as SAVIOR] will never be thirsty
[for that one will be sustained spiritually](John 6:35)
