I feel like MOSES at times~
in his ANGER
he broke the ten commandments.
I feel like DAVID at times~
in
his TEMPTATION
he succumbed.
I feel like JONAH at times~
in his FEAR he ran.
I feel like JONI at times~
when I am
ANGRY
TEMPTED
FEARFUL
&
respond to
my fleshly desires
that are part of my
OLD NATURE~
my old DNA
that still creeps up in me.
Those parts of me
that I detest,
yet hating them away wont take them away.
BUT oh by the
GRACE OF GOD
that covers
all those detestable traits of mine
as HE SAYS~
Even though I know every one of them
I love you.
I love you so much that they don't define you.
MY SON defines you.
HE has covered the old with the new
&
is taking each one of those detestable things
&
replacing them with
HIS
PEACE
JOY
&
FORGIVENESS.
So when I feel like
MOSES
DAVID
&
JONAH~
those Old Testament Characters~
I know that I am in good company
because GOD knew their hearts
Down to every itty bitty sin
&
still called them to go and preach
HIS WORD to the world.
Oh amazing grace
how sweet the sound
that changed a wretch of me~
and that continues to change a wretch like me.
FROM RAGS TO RICHES~
HE changes me.
