I SURRENDER!
I put up the white flag
because
it is the only way
if I want & if you want
REAL PEACE~
"the peace which surpasses all understanding," (Philippians 4:7)
REAL CONTENTMENT~
"whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want” (Philippians 4:12).
REAL LIFE~
"It pays to take life seriously; things work out when you trust in GOD" (Proverbs 16:20)
I SURRENDER
because
in the past
I SURRENDERED
to what felt right
to what looked right
through the eyes of the world
because everyone else was doing it
&
I ended up at a dead end
even though
I was told
THE TRUTH
& people where praying for me.
But
I just laughed
because
I just couldn't see
&
I just didn't know
that there was so much more
beyond
What I could see
&
What I could feel
because everyone else was doing it.
Until
I hit the bottom
because
my way wasn't working
&
because
GOD
wouldn't let me stay where I was
because
HE SO LOVES
you & I
&
your neighbor
&
every single person on the face of the earth
because
HE
created every single person on the face of the earth~
All because
HE
does not want
Anyone to perish~
"And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?
Is anything worth more than your soul? " (Mark 8:36-37)
Therefore
GOD
cries out
to the broken
to the lost
to the hurting
to the angry
to the bitter
to the abused
to the confused~
"COME TO ME" (Matthew 11)
So simple
because
all it takes
is one little step
to jump into
HIS ARMS
like a little child
&
bring your mess
because~
"JESUS said, “I am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns with ME hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever. I have told you this explicitly because even though you have seen ME in action, you don’t really believe ME. Every person the FATHER gives ME eventually comes running to ME. And once that person is with ME, I hold on and don’t let go. I came down from heaven not to follow MY own whim but to accomplish the will of the One who sent ME." (John 6:35-38)
FREE TO SURRENDER!
I Raise the White Flag

JESUS
&
it is not coming down
because
I can't go back
to doing things my way
because
"If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36)
