Oh how they greeted
HIM
as they waved
PALM branches
as
HE~
THE KING OF THE JEWS
rode into town on a donkey.
Yup~
A KING riding on a donkey.
But this was the same
KING
who was born in a smelly stable.
Why would anyone
BELIEVE that this was a KING
when HE never looked like royalty.
Would I have Believed IN HIM?
Would you?
I probably wouldn't have because I would have
EXPECTED
to see a man sitting on a throne
with a caravan of servants
while HE was performing
miracles to prove to me
that this was the One we all have been waiting for.
But instead
he was not only greeted with
Palm Branches and the words~
"Hosanna!
“Blessed is HE who comes in the name of the LORD!
Blessed is the KING of Israel!” (John 12:13)
But all with those who didn't come with palm branches
because they came with the nails that would hang HIM later that week~
"So the Pharisees said to one another,
“See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after HIM!” (John 12:19)
All because they knew, deep in their hearts who this
Man could possibly be~
“Here is this man performing many signs. If we let HIM go on like this, everyone will believe
IN HIM, &then the Romans will come and take away both
our temple & our nation.” (John 11:47-48)
Hmm~
It sounds like we are in 2019!
BLESSED IS HE flowing from some mouths
&
BLESSED IS NOT HE because
HE may be & maybe
I will have to BELIEVE IN HIM and then what?
And
JESUS replies~
"Do not be afraid" (John 12:15)~
the same words that greeted HIS mother from the angel's mouth.
THE KING~
Who was riding on a donkey & born in a stable & swaddled in Rags~
when HE deserved to wear a robe.
But JESUS did so
so that
HE could ROBE
us with
HIS RICHES~
because no matter what anyone says
JESUS
was born to be
THE KING
for everyone~
especially the doubters who are so afraid to
BELIEVE
because
What if this is really true?
What if I can be set free?
What if I can be forgiven?
What if I can be filled with a peace that transcends all understanding...
Then maybe
HE IS THE KING
Who Rode on a donkey
Who was Born in a stable
& just maybe
HE made the exchange
for us~
to take us
FROM RAGS TO RICHES!
“Blessed is HE who comes in the name of the LORD!"

BLESSED IS YOU
the moment you
BELIEVE!
