The ringing in my ears is all that I hear this morning.
The more I think about it, the louder it gets.
I can't wish it away
but
I can pray it away~
but is
GOD still listening
if it never goes away?
A smile comes upon my face as I believe a smile comes upon
HIS face
as
HE
says~
"That's my girl talking to me again. And oh how I love it when she pays attention to me."
This is so weird as tears are forming in my eyes & a smile is on my heart
because oh how
my GOD & your GOD
HEARS
even when we aren't even speaking because
HE SEES
our woes~
"YOU keep track of all my sorrows.[ YOU have collected all my tears in your bottle. YOU have recorded each one in your book" (Psalm 56:8).~
even if it is something so little as the distraction of ringing in the ears
because
GOD is a GOD of details~
"Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered" (Luke 12:7)
All because
GOD knows us way better than we even know ourselves
as
HE HEARS
us even before we even speak~
"Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely" (Psalm 139:4).
So now the ringing in my ears is no longer a distraction,
as it has become music to my ears because it points me back to the
ONE
who
HEARS & SEES
little 'ole me & little 'ole you.
Does HE HEAR you? Does HE SEE you?
Oh GOD goes beyond that
because
HE sent HIS SON as HE reaches out
HIS arms to you & to me and just tells us to~
"Come to ME. Get away with ME and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with ME & work with ME—watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with ME and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly" (Matthew 11:28-30 The Message)~
because
HE wants to be so much more than just a
DISTRACTION in our lives.
HE just wants to LOVE us right where we are at,
as HE takes us to beyond where we are at,
in the midst of whatever is distracting us right where we are at.
So smile my friend at the ONE who is smiling at you
and WHO will take you beyond what you can
HEAR & SEE
because
JESUS IS MORE THAN A RESOLUTION~
HE IS MORE!
