I want to~

but I don't~

do what I know I am supposed to do or not do~

"I realize that I don’t have what it takes.
I can will it, but I can’t do it.
I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it;
I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway.

I want to~
ALL THE TIME
but I don't~
ALL THE TIME
do what I know I am supposed to do or not do~
ALL THE TIME
because
"I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes" (Romans 7:17 The Message)
Now I didn't rob a bank & I am not thinking about doing it~
as it is those "little" crimes we commit~
that do no harm to anyone else~
and most of the time no one even knows
except me and
GOD.
I want to~
ALL THE TIME
but I don't~
ALL THE TIME
do what I know I am supposed to do or not do~
ALL THE TIME
when I fall short of what I expect of myself
because I know that I have fallen short of what
GOD
asks for me to do or not to do.
But
I want to~
ALL THE TIME
but I don't~
ALL THE TIME
do what I know I am supposed to do or not do~
ALL THE TIME
and
GOD knows that
and tells us to~
"Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust." (Proverbs 4:23-27 The Message)

ALL THE TIME
but
"Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!" (Romans 7:25)
Because
GOD knows me & GOD knows you oh so well
& how we will stumble and fall short
when we know what to do, but do something else instead~
even if it as silly as breaking a
RESOLUTION
we may have made 21 days ago or robbing a bank
as
HE
forgives
ALL THE TIME
because
JESUS KEEPS HIS RESOLUTIONS~
"If we [freely] admit that we have sinned & confess our sins, HE is faithful & just
[true to HIS own nature and promises], &
will forgive our sins & cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness
[our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with HIS will & purpose]" (I John 1:9)
So~
