"Take care of MY Prized Possession"
was the message I received as
THE TRUTH
came flooding into my heart like never before.
even though I knew the
TRUTH,
but in that moment everything came together like never before.
"Take care of MY Prized Possession"
JESUS was telling ME
as HE is telling YOU
we are to take care of ourselves
because we are
HIS PRIZED POSSESSION.
As I have been getting sloppy or should I say lazy
as I have not been taking care of myself as if I was worthy enough to care for~
so I needed this TRUTH to pierce my heart.
We are not our own, as we were bought with a price~
JESUS~
and that makes us
HIS CHILD~
"Yet to all who did receive HIM, to those who believed in HIS NAME, HE gave the right to become CHILDREN OF GOD" (John 1:12).
HIS HEIR~
"So you are no longer a slave, but GOD'S child; and since you are HIS CHILD, GOD has made you also an HEIR" (Galatians 4:7).
HIS REDEEMED~
"In HIM we have REDEMPTION through HIS blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of GOD'S grace" (Ephesians 1:7).
HIS CHOSEN~
"Therefore, as GOD'S chosen people, holy and dearly loved..." (Colossians 3:12a)
HIS PRIZED POSSESSION
who we are to care for ourselves as we are
HIS TEMPLE~
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from GOD? You are not your own; you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor GOD with your bodies" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Therefore
JESUS tells us to
"TAKE CARE OF MY PRIZED POSSESSION"
and that is You my friend and me
and nothing
~no matter what you think of yourself
~no matter what you have done or will do
~no matter what you feel
that does not line up with WHO HE says you are
can take away your
Identity IN HIM
Therefore~
"...clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience"(Colossians 3:12b)
Because
We are HIS PRIZED POSSESSION~
"But you are the ones chosen by GOD, chosen for the high calling of priestly work,
chosen to be a holy people, GOD's instruments to do HIS work and speak out for HIM ,
to tell others of the night-and-day difference HE made for you—f
rom nothing to something, from rejected to accepted" (I Peter 2:9-10).
Hmm...
I think JESUS got my attention
as HE reminded me WHOSE I am ~
and because of that 2019 can be the beginning of something beautiful
as we embrace
Who we are IN HIM
and then it isn't a burden to carry out all of those
RESOLUTIONS
that aline up with~
"TAKE CARE OF MY PRIZE POSSESSION"
who is YOU!
Thank you JESUS
for that great reminder that
YOU are so much
MORE THAN A RESOLUTION
because
YOU DEFINE ME!
