Day 8: Defined by Him

Change~

isn't that what the New Year is about~

Out with the old, in with the new~

because the old isn't who I & who you don't want to be anymore.

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Or better yet~

HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE YOURSELF IF YOU WERE A WORD IN THE DICTIONARY, USING ONLY ONE WORD?

Would it be~

Fearless~

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

Would it be

blessed~

Taste and see that the LORD is good;

blessed is the one who takes refuge in HIM. Psalm 34:8

Would it be

Hopeful~

...but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Would it be

Peaceful~

Cast all your anxiety on HIM because HE cares for you. I Peter 5:7

Would it be

Forgiven~

If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just

to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9

Would it be

Loved~

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; HIS mercies never come to an end;

they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR DEFINING WORD TO BE?

Well, just look up Your Name,

but not in the Dictionary~

Instead, look it up in

THE BOOK

that was written for you by the

ONE

Who tells you who you are over & over & over again,

and you don't have to make it a resolution

because

IN HIM

we are so much more than we could ever be on our own

because

IN HIM

we are

HIS CHILD~

But to as many as did receive and welcome HIM,

HE gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of GOD,

that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on)

HIS name....

Not my name or your name

but because of

HIS NAME~

who were born, not of blood [natural conception],

nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse],

nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of

GOD [that is, a divine and supernatural birth—

they are born of GOD—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified]. I John 1:12-13

So...

I ask you~

HOW DOES JESUS DEFINE YOU?

Who You Say I Am (listen below)
