He is absolutely brilliant,
as his fingers touch every key~
Music to my ears~
and also a bunch of noise
that could never be a song~
yet I listen
and my heart smiles
because it isn't about what he can't play.
It is about the little boy who is
smashing all the keys.
He can do no wrong in my eyes,
because my love is so great,
and even if he was do something wrong
my heart would still smile.
I wonder if that is how
God feels about us
~when we are playing a song that isn't a song
~when we do something that He tells us not to do.
I wonder if
God's love for us is so great that
His heart smiles either way. Hmm...
Either way
it makes me want to do what
He wants me to do
because
My love for Him is so great.
Oh Lord,
help me to remember that when
I get off key~
when I fall short,
when I don't do what I know I should do
and play the wrong song anyway~
that you love me.
Just play even if you can't
because
His love goes beyond
our imperfections
our mistakes
our mess ups
as
"there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1
