It is happening again
As I have been awake way before the sun rises
Just sitting
Just being still
Waiting
on God
Waiting
for God
to fill me
with something
and all I feel is the
stillness
so I question
Where are you God?
Because
I want something new
to just blow my socks off.
And all I hear is
stillness.
But
Where are you God?
So I question Him~
I showed up,
just like you asked,
so what do you have for me?
Then I remember
Elijiah
and the conversation God had with him~
"The Lord said,
'Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the
Lord is about to pass by.'
So Elijiah
Waited and Watched~
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains
apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord,
BUT the Lord was not in the wind.
After the wind there was an earthquake,
BUT the Lord was not in the earthquake.
After the earthquake came a fire,
BUT the Lord was not in the fire.
And after the fire came
a gentle whisper." I King 19:11-12
Hmm...
Maybe it is all about the
Stillness in the wait
A Gentle whisper
The gentle reminder
that
God is here
whether we
Hear Him
or
Feel Him
or
whether a burning bush shows up in our home.
God doesn't have to do cartwheels to prove that
He is with us.
Thank you
God for the gentle reminder
that you are
in the stillness
because~
"He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God'" Psalm 46:10
