Day 13: He Remembers

LET'S GET REAL~

Authentic

Honest

Genuine

Truthful~

Because if you can't be

REAL

then who are you?

My grandson is

REAL

because that is all he knows who to be

and it is so much fun watching him being

REAL.

My Mother~ in~law

is also being

REAL

because that is all she knows who to be.

Two extremes

yet both

living their

REAL LIFE

in the

PRESENT

in the

MOMENT

yet the

REAL

of my Mother~in~law

and the

REAL

of all of the other woman living around her,

who are also being so

REAL

so saddens me

because

Once Upon A Time Ago

they were not who they are today.

They used to

Remember.

And oh what I am

learning from her

as my husband and I

are in the present

are in the moment

as we sit with her

because that is all we can be.

REAL LIFE

happening right before our eyes

and it hurts

because

I miss who she was

and my husband oh so misses

who she was~

but then we look into each other's eyes

with no words

because

We know

that

HE KNOWS

so much more than we do~

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

And we converse with her

and will smile

when she does the simplest things

as

eating

smiling

laughing

and

remembering her mother in an old picture.

She is different

from who she used to be

but

She is oh so

REAL,

still the woman

Who God knitted together in her mother's womb

making her

HIS MASTERPIECE

just as we are

no matter our age

no matter our circumstances

because

we know

that

HE KNOWS~

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

So that we can be

REAL

in ever moment

by being present in every moment

as we

"Set our minds on things above, not on earthly things." Colossians 3:2

because we have a

REAl GOD

who not only

KNOWS

but always

REMEMBERS~

"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!" Psalm 139:13-17

Therefore~

LET'S GET REAL

as

God takes us

FROM RAGS TO RICHES
