What if you only had
Jesus~
would He be enough?
You wake up in the morning~
your glass is
empty
&
you are thirsty.
So...
you take your glass
&
start filling it with
something~
maybe
Thoughts from yesterday
Anxieties of today
Fears of tomorrows
or
maybe
your
To do list
or
Your striving
or
Your wishes & dreams
or
just
Anything that will fit~
making it either an
Half~empty glass
kinda of a day
or an
Half~full glass
kinda of a day.
Whatever kinda of a day it is,
what about the other
half of the glass
as it still remains empty?
What will you fill it with?
But what if
just what if
you start filling your glass
by looking up
to the
source
Who
never tires
of
filling you
with
His Peace
His Joy
His Hope
His Love
because
Jesus
is a constant stream
that never dries out~
because
He is Always Enough
even in those times
when you just can't
quench your thirst
with the "whatever"
you put in your glass
in hopes
that this time
you will be
satisfied,
yet
your glass
never gets filled to the brim
because
you are
drinking from the wrong spring.
But
if you
look up
&
“Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare. Isaiah 55:1-2
Because
Jesus wants to fill you up~
“Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!
Anyone who believes in me may come and drink." John 7:37-38
Therefore,
just
Come
to
the
Water Source
so that you
become
Filled Up~
instead of
Fed Up~
&
have a
Full Glass
kinda of a day~
and
when you do & when I do
there is no room for anything else
to fit in your glass,
so the
Thoughts from yesterday
Anxieties of today
Fears of tomorrows
would just dribble down the side of the glass
because
your glass is
always being filled
by Him...
Who Is Always Enough
What if you only had
Jesus~
would He be enough?
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13
