Christian~ese 101: Hope

The boat is swaying

back and forth

as the wind increases

as the current grows stronger

yet

there is

no anxiety

no fear

because

Hope

isn't

in the wind

Hope

isn't in the current

Hope

is in

the

Anchor

that is not seen

because it is

below the water

doing what it is designed to do.

Anchored~

Comforted.

Gripped.

Protected.

Secure.

The

Anchor

is of no use

if it isn't attached to the boat.

What does the boat put its hope in when it needs to be at rest?

The storms come.

The wind gusts.

The current increases

in your life & in my life~

so

where do you

&

where do I

put our

Hope

in

when we need to be

Comforted

Gripped

Protected

Secure

and at

Rest?

"A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.

Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke Him and said to Him,

“Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves,

“Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

He said to His disciples,

“Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4:35-40

Anchored

in

Jesus.

Anchored

in

Hope

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure..." Hebrews 6:19

This

Hope

is

Anchored~

"upward in heaven, not down in the ground;

and we are anchored to move on, not to stand still." (David Guzik)

So

we don't look into the

terrifying seas

to

the anchor

that is on

the ocean floor,

instead

"we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen,

since what is seen is temporary, but

what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

Anxiety is gone

Fear is gone

when

what appears to be a disaster ready to happen~

"When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; in every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil." (My Hope is Built on Nothing Less)

All because

You & I

Walk the Talk

by

living out the

Christian~ese Word

of

Hope

that keeps us

Anchored

Upward!
