The What If Train

Have you ever boarded the

What If

train?

It starts with a thought

about a reality in your life

that you are facing

or

will have to face~

and then it happens

as all the worst case scenarios

start flooding into your brain

as you begin your ride on

the

What if

train.

And it is never a smooth ride,

because the

What ifs

get bigger & get worse

as

fear, worry, anxiety, & hurt

become your traveling buddies.

The

What ifs

turn into the

Now whats

taking you back on the train again

headed to that not-so-good place.

Do you have a What if?

But

What if

you and I

just let the

What if

train

pass by

without boarding it...

because the

What ifs

are just that~

the

What ifs

that haven't happened & that may never happen,

so why

think as though they will.

Well,

what is

pretty funny as I am pondering this,

I just heard the whistles of the passing train go by.

Hmm..

okay God

I get it,

as a smile is on my face

because

that is what I have to do~

just let the

What if TRAIN

pass by,

because it is

His train

that I board

as

He always takes me to

the perfect place

that is

far away from the

What ifs

because

Who He is

trumps

every

What if.

His train

takes you & takes I

to places

where

the

What ifs

are not the

worst case scenarios

because

He is

the best case scenario

when you & when I

Put Him in Our Story

put my hope? My only hope is in You. Psalm 39:7

*I, ________________, praise God for what He has promised.

I, ______________, trust in God, so why should I, ______________, be afraid? Psalm 56:4

*Even though I, _____________, walk through the darkest valley,

I , ______________, will fear no evil,

for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

So

Goodbye

What if

train~

"So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever."

2 Corinthians 4:18
