The Perfect Character

Jesus sounds like

a Fictional Character

because

He is too

Perfect.

Perfectly Humble~

"Who, being in very nature God,

Did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant,

being made in human likeness." Philippians 2:6-7

Perfectly Obedient~

"He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death-- even death on a cross!“ Philippians 2:8

Perfectly Sinless~

“... but we have one who has been tempted in every way,

just as we are—yet was without sin...” Hebrews 4:15

Perfectly Rejected~

"He committed no sin and

no deceit was found in His mouth.

When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate;

when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead,

He entrusted himself to Him who judges justly. I Peter 2:23

Just to

Perfectly Suffer~

"My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.” Matthew 26:37-38

This Character

Jesus

Did it anyway~

"Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame.

Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne." Hebrews 12:2

Wouldn't you want to

Fix our eyes on this character

who sounds too good to be true~

Perfectly Humble

Perfectly Obedient

Perfectly Rejected

Perfectly Suffered

just to bring

Hope

back

into

a

Hopeless

Helpless World~

Do you lose hope when you are rejected, in pain, crucified?

Do you lose hope when you are growing weary doing good?

Do you lose hope when everything around you comes tumbling down?

Do you lose hope when you don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel?

Do you lose hope when you can’t feel God?

Do you lose hope when you seek the Lord first, and still can’t find Him?

What if Jesus was a Fictional Character~

would you

"Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men,

so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:3
