Love is
Patient.
Ugh.
I don't like this word
because it is one those
verbs
that is calling
me
&
calling you
to
be still
to
pause,
for a long period of time,
no matter what
because
that is what
Love is.
I read an interesting interpretation of
the word
Patient
as
“Love Long-fuses”
as compared to a
Short fuse
that only takes a spark
before it explodes.
Only
Love
is able to elongate a fuse
causing
a pause
a wait.
Patient~
Long suffering
a
Love Long-fuse~
*To be of a long spirit, not to lose heart
*To persevere patiently and bravely in enduring misfortunes and troubles
*To be patient in bearing the offenses and injuries of others
*To be slow to anger
*To be slow to punish (Thayer's Lexicon)
What if God had a short fuse?

be this very moment?
But...
Love is
Patient.
because
that is who
God is~
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is
longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish
but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
Let's put
Love into action
and
act out
by
adding
love
to everyone
whom
we have placed a
short fuse on~
Why?
Because
What if God had a short fuse?
Where would you be right now.
