Day 10: The Time Out Chair

BACK TO BASICS

BACK TO SCHOOL~

KINDERGARTEN

I remember it well~

Play Time

Craft Time

Snack Time

Nap Time

Pretty Simple

Pretty Fun

But what if...

just what if

you didn't do what you were told to do~

then there was the

TIME OUT CHAIR~

sitting in the corner

for the kids who just wouldn't listen

for the kids who just wouldn't sit still

for the kids...

but what about

for me

the big kid

Hmm..

When I just won't listen

When I just won't sit still

and for you?

I think God has this covered

for the big kid in us

when He puts me

when He puts you

in the

TIME OUT CHAIR

When a forced time of silence is needed~

be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, James 1:19

When you want to say what you know you shouldn't say about someone else~

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

When impatience wants to get the best of you~

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

When anxiety is your best friend~

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

When ______________?

Do you need to sit in the TIME OUT CHAIR?

Just pull up chair

and give yourself a time out~

not to punish yourself

but to reward yourself

because it where you will experience

PEACE & JOY

Pretty Simple

BACK TO BASICS

BACK TO SCHOOL

because

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10
