Un~Labored


Once upon a time

I built my castle

with

bricks in my suitcase

that I took with me wherever I went.

As I sat in my castle

I read the inscription on each brick~

bitterness

hurt

despair

anxiety

insignificance

insecurity

rejection~

But then

He

came

into my story

and took each one of them

to build

His Cross

exchanging them for

Forgiveness

Healing

Hope

Peace

Significance

Security

Acceptance

because

I came to

Him

weary & tired~

sick and tired of

being sick and tired

of

Laboring~

Labor: to grow weary, tired, exhausted (with toil or burdens or grief).

What is laboring you?

Is it anger?

Take a rest~

In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, Ephesians 4:26

Is it bitterness?

Take a rest~

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13

Is it anxiety?

Take a rest~

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Is it Hopelessness?

Take a rest~

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Is it rejection?

Take a rest~

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1

Is it _________________?

So how do you remove what is

laboring you.

from your story?

It is by making

the

Great Exchange~

by

putting off

what weighs you down~

“....let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles...” Hebrews 12:1

and

putting on

whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--

if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. Philippians 4:8

and

Putting into Practice

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—

put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9

PUT OFF + PUT ON + PUT INTO PRACTICE = PEACE

His Peace?

Every day

is

Un~Labor Day

a rest from

Laboring

when

you and I

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

*Calling all men and women

who live in the area

and

want to soar above whatever weighs you down.

Whether it is

anxiety

a habit

behavior

addiction~

No matter how small

No matter how big

Come to the

Great Exchange

Exchanging your burdens

For

His peace, love, joy and hope
