You is Smart
You is Important
Those beautiful words of truth
flowing from the heart of
Aiblileen,
the nanny for
the little 2 year old Mae Mobley,
right after
Mae's mother
tells her again
how bad she is.
Oh how words sting
those words
that just confirm to you
that
You is not kind
You is not smart
You is not important
as they pierce your heart,
becoming the truth you live by.
I remember the words
and I bet you do too
because we have been told them
not only by words
but through actions
and
I know I have said them or acted them out to others
not knowing
the impact that they would make.
But then the
Help
comes in
to remind the precious little girl
that she is more than enough
and to never forget
that
She is Kind
She is Smart
She is Important
because she
is
Loved.
Don't you wish you had an
Aibileen to tell you those words every time
the
words in your head tell you that you are not good enough?
But we do
because we have
The Help
who is more than a compassionate loving nanny
because our
Help
is our
Creator
who
wrote those words on our heart
the moment He began writing our story.
The day
He knitted me
He knitted you
in our mothers womb
so that we can say
I, ____________, (PUT your name)
praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I, ______________, know that full well. Psalm 139:14
Oh how I have to be reminded that
I am not who others say I am
I am not what I do or don't do
I am not what I feel.
How about you~
Do you believe
these words
that
You is kind
You is smart
You is important
but most importantly~
that you are
LOVED?
As God is showing me a lot these days, especially
to believe and walk in
ALL His Truths,
not just the Truths I feel,
because
Truth is Truth
whether I feel it or not.
But why do I
believe in
and
walk in
what I feel
that isn't truth?
Good question
and
I think
because
His Truths are too amazing to be
true
for me.
It is time
I get over myself.
It is time
to
Receive and Believe
His Love
because
it is about
being an
Aiblileen
and passing on
His Truth
because
He
wrote the words of
Love on my heart
so that I can
Love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:31
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Matthew 5:4
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Romans 12:9
