Day 16: Unmasked

Clowns...

I don't like clowns

they scare me

maybe it is because

I don't know what is really

behind

the

painted smile on their face~

the

Mask

they wear.

As

Masks

come in all shapes and sizes

to cover up

what we don't want others to see

to cover up

what we don't want to see

to cover up

what we don't want to feel.

So the

Mask

goes on

to hide behind

to cover up

the real you

the crying you

the sad you

the fearful you~

Afraid

to be~

Afraid

to say~

Afraid

to be me

Afraid

to be you.

Have you ever been there?

What Mask do you wear when you don't want others to see what you don't want to see?

Trying to be someone you are not

Fighting against who you were made to be

Trying to be who others want you to be

or

Who you think you should be.

“We learn at a young age to cover up our imperfections. The problem is, there’s not enough makeup in the world to make us whole. If we really want to know true beauty, if we really want to live full and free lives, we have to give God access to those places we work so hard to cover up.” (Susie Larson, Your Beautiful Purpose)

What is actually behind the

Mask ~

You~

who is always with you

You~

who you can never get away from

Precious

You~

the You God created

the You who you can

become

unMasked

to~

the

One

Who

knows your heart

everything about you

and

loves you anyway..

even when you

stumble

he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. Psalm 37:24

even when you

fall short

he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9

even when you

are

rejected

For I am certain that nothing can separate us from His love. Romans 8:38

Even when you

are just being you

I have summoned you by name; you are Mine. Isaiah 43:1

So

Let's

Take Off

the

Masks

by

Becoming

unMasked

before the

One

Who

allows you to be the you

He created you to be

without

wearing a

Mask

because

He loves

the one

who

is

behind the

Mask.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16
