Ticket-Less

Just because

I overstayed my welcome

in a parking spot over the specific time

I got a

Ticket.

As I watched the officer place

the piece of paper on my windshield,

I went outside

and asked him

"Why?"

And oh he answered me~

"You were here longer than 3 hours."

Now did I want to say~

but I always park here for more than 3 hours,

sometimes it is all day.

Now did I want to say~

but I have been writing about God,

so I can't be that bad.

Instead,

I went back inside the coffeeshop

and

actually laughed

because

I broke the law

and the law is law

even if I didn't know it was the law.

What if God Gave us a Ticket

every time we didn't follow His ways~

Could you imagine?

Anxiety Ticket~

because I told you

"Do not be anxious about anything..." ~Phil. 4:6

Bitter Ticket~

because I told you

"Bear with each other and forgive one another..." ~Colossians 3:13

Fear Ticket~

because I told you

“ So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed,” ~Isaiah 41:10

Control Ticket~

because I told you

"Be still and know that I am God" ~Psalm 46:10

Pride Ticket~

because I told you

"Humble yourselves before the Lord," ~ James 410

Hmmm..

And then I remember

that I have the

Ticket

that

Trumps all Tickets~

Not Guilty Ticket~

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" ~Romans 8:1

So I will thank

God

for not giving me a

Ticket

every time

I fall short of what He told me~

“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again." ~Isaiah 43:25
