Day 26: How Steep is Your Climb

Writer: JoniJoni

How Steep is your Climb?

"What if your blessings came from raindrops?" (Blessings)

The Words penned by Laura Story

in the midst her husband Martin's

Upward Battle

that continues

due to

his brain tumor journey

and short term memory loss

that they deal with

every day since 2006.

A song birthed out of suffering

How Steep is your Climb?

"I know the sorrow, and I know the hurt Would all go away if You'd just say the word But even if You don't My hope is You alone" (Even If)

The Words penned by Bart Millard, of the band Mercy Me,

because of the weight of his daily

Upward Battle

of his son's chronic illness

making him want to throw the towel in.

A song birthed out of suffering

How Steep is your Climb?

“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed.

But if you look at Christ, you’ll be at rest.”

The Words penned by Corrie Ten Boom

a concentration camp survivor A quote birthed out of suffering

How Steep is your Climb?

The words we sing

The words we quote

all birthed out of suffering

because of

a climb

that was so steep.

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:1-2)

A Song of Ascents

A Psalm

penned to be sung

by the pilgrims

during the pilgrimage to Jerusalem

because they knew

Whose

they were

and where

their hope came from

as they

faced their steep climb.

How Steep is your Climb?

Have you arrived at the top, or

Are you in the middle of it, or

Are you just beginning it?

But..

Wherever you are

Just look up

as

Laura Story is

as

Bart Millard is

as

Corrie Ten Boom did

because

they knew

their

Creator

and they knew

they were

His

and that my friend

is

Who I am

and

Who you are

no matter

How Steep is your Climb

So,

Just look up~

"He will not let your foot slip—

he who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, he who watches over Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—

the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you by day,

nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—

he will watch over your life;

the Lord will watch over your coming and going

both now and forevermore." (Psalm 121)

From Rags to Riches

Because

What if your blessings came from Raindrops..
