Waiting
for a phone call
Waiting
for a text
Waiting
for a knock on the door
Just waiting
for someone
to know that you are here.
Have you ever been there?
You are known by others
You know others
yet
you feel alone.
"Does anybody care"
"Does anybody know I exist"
are the questions you ask
because
you feel
Rejected.
But then you remember
Who Am I?
Loved
by Him
who takes
rejection
and
crushes it like a bug
because you are
His Creation~
Created on purpose & for a purpose
or you wouldn't be here in the first place.
Because
if God knows
everything about you
from when you sit and stand
down to every hair on your head (Psalm 139)
how can you or I be rejected?
Feeling Rejected
and
Being Rejected
are not the same things.
Feelings are feelings and are real in the moment
due to what we see &
the effects from the circumstances around us,
as we are feeling beings.
But
Being
is who we are
and that
is who God says we are.
When our feelings meet
His Love
filled with
Grace & Mercy
Joy & Hope
we become
Accepted & Love
even in loneliness where rejection is birthed
What, then, shall we say in response to these things?
His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him,
graciously give us all things?
Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?
It is God who justifies.
Who then is the one who condemns?
No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am convinced that
neither death nor life,
neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:31-38
Therefore...
Who Am I?
Who are You?
Loved By Him
Who loved us first.
From Rags to Riches
Put Off Rejection
Put On Acceptance
because
He has
Put Love on you.
