You can do it when you are walking
You can do it when you are sitting
You can do it with your eyes opened
You can do it with your eyes closed
You can even do it with food in your mouth
You can do it
Any time
Any where..
Prayer
Yup...
Prayer~
Simply
Pray!
Just having a conversation with God
No fancy words
No latin or greek
Just like you are talking with a trusted friend
That's it! But do you really talk to Him...
really tell Him what is on your heart~
what you are feeling
what is bothering you
what you are thankful for?
Hmm..
What if we said to God what we are really thinking?
What if we disagreed with Him?
What if we are angry with Him?
Do we tell Him?
What if He knew it all,
anyway~
even before those words came off your tongue
What if?
Well,
He does....
Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! Psalm 139:1-6
...And
He loves you
He loves me
Anyway!
What if...
I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me. Psalm 77:1
Jesus cried out
During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of
His reverent submission. Hebrews 5:7
Jesus cried out prayers for Himself
And being in anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. Luke 22:44.
How many prayers have you cried out in anguish?
Jesus prayed for His Father's will
Father, if you are willing, take this cup from Me;
yet not My will, but Yours be done. Luke 22:42
Jesus prayed for others
for me
and
for you.
I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. John 17:20
Jesus received strength, after He prayed:
An angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him. Luke 22:43
I remember the very first time
I cried out to the Lord
what was on my heart.
Afraid at first,
as I wondered
if He would run away from me
once He really knew me,
but
it was at that moment
when I cried out
tears came
and
God did too...
to hear me
to comfort me...
I felt safe.
I began to feel free because
I had
Someone
with whom I could share
my deepest, darkest
hurts, feelings, and thoughts~
everything & anything.
God’s embrace
His
unconditional love
was immediate.
That day I found
my safe place in the
Lord
Because
I
Simply
Prayed!
The Word for the day is

Your joys
Your sorrows
Your concerns
Your all.

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

have the best
conversation
of your life
with the
One
who
wants to
converse
with you.
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. I Peter 5:7
