I Bet I Can Make You Smile

I bet I can make you smile~

a phrase

that I would say to my kids

when they were not in such a

smiley mood.

A phrase that drove them nutty

as they

would try so hard

not to smile that

they ended up

smiling.

It worked every time

and it made me

smile

even more

and

them even more than me.

Why would they hate it when I sad that?

Was it because

they knew that would

change their frown into a

smile?

Fighting against something that would make them feel better.

Oh how I do the same thing

and maybe you do too...

When we know what we could do

in a moment

that would

turn around our frowning hearts

into a

smile~

yet try so hard to fight against it.

when God tells us...

Do not be anxious about anything Philippians 4:6

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Get rid of bitterness, rage and anger Ephesians 4:31

because

what He really is saying

I bet I will make you smile

So what are you fighting against right now

that you know would bring peace, joy to your heart?

Think about it..

If we have a Savior

Who stands

with His open arms

and tells us to

Come to ME all

who are weary

and I WILL... Matthew 11:28

That is it

just

Come~

It's not

go clean up your act first

it is just

Come

and bring your stuff

and leave it at His feet...

Don't even unpack

just leave it,

that is it

and

I bet I will make you smile

because

He will

give you rest

He will

give you the peace that transcends all understanding

He will

when you

Look to the Lord and His strength; Seek His FACE always. Psalm 105:4

So I challenge you today

with today's word~

smile...

as you

put off the frown faces

when you

Seek the Lord

with both eyes opened

and

I Bet He will make you smile!

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to PUT OFF your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to PUT ON the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:22-24
